Ganesh Chaturthi, or Vinayakachavathi will be on August 31 in 2022 and it celebrates the birth of Ganesha. Ganesh, known as the remover of obstacles, is the son of Shiva and Parvati and is the deity prayed to before any big endeavor to bless the new beginning. In India this festival is celebrated by making giant statues of Ganesh which often become competitions between neighborhoods similar to Christmas and who has the best lights. Our Indus publication will talk about the story of Ganesha's birth and share some of the stories of his upbringing.
We are still working on the products for this festival but as always, you can expect nuance and grace as we curate the content to draw from the history and traditions of the festival but also offer a modern take on how it can be celebrated and a part of our now every day.
